It is far away from other necessary services. They people were friendly upon checking in. Very simple accomodation Staff very helpful as we arrivedlate and they still made booking inpossible.The location makes getting to Las Vagas the next day a quick trip. I enjoyed the stay as i wasn't expecting luxury but to a passerby it would be bad. The quirkiness of the place, the paintings and the cafe food was great.They could do so much better, it has such potential. This hotel has its own style, all rooms are painted by Marta Becket, also her Opera theater is amazing.

The water was softin the bathroom which was a pleasant surprise. The location is very good for visiting Death Valley. It has a certain charm (probably outweighed by grittiness), a great location to visit Death Valley National Park, a surprisingly reasonable bed, and friendly staff. It is right outside Death Valley National Park. It is a lovely, quirky hotel, built in the 1920s.
